Notice is hereby given that Council has received an application from Newfoundland and Labrador Aerospace to operate a home based AMO (Approved Maintenance Organization) from 17 White Street. This business will consist of a home office with small scale electronic equipment production and maintenance inside garage. Installation of electronics/equipment will take place off site at customer base.
It is noted that home occupation is permitted as a “discretionary use” for the zone in which this property is located.

The Town of Gander will mark the 23rd ANniversary of 9/11 by hosting a "9/11 Reflections," event featuring guest speaker Gordon Huie, a survivor of Tower Two of the World Trade Center. Mr. Huie is uniquely connected to the events of that day, having survived the collapse of Tower Two, lost his sister in Tower One, and later served as a rescue worker. His deeply personal story of survival, loss, and heroism offers a rare and moving perspective on the events of September 11, 2001.
Joining Mr. Huie on stage will be local residents Gina Brown and Corey Smith who will tell their 9/11 Untold Stories.
This event is will be an evening of powerful and emotional remembrance.
